The day I started my blog and also learned how to fold a fitted sheet.
Most days are fairly average. Wake up, make coffee, check emails, check social media, make one of my "today's to do's" list, and get cracking. But this morning was different.
The Start of Something New
Right from the get go, let me just say, I've toyed with the idea of blogging for many years, I just never really knew what was important enough to justify blogging about. But I think I've been missing the point. I'm going to blog about anything and everything. You already know I make beautiful jewellery, I don't need to convince you of that. So this blog is going to be a way for you to get to know ME better. Maybe you'll relate. Maybe you'll find it boring. Maybe you'll think I'm mad (this is almost inevitable). Maybe you'll criticize my shocking spelling and incorrect use of punctuation at times. But behind every artist and every brand there are real people, with real lives and real stories to tell. These are mine...
The Fitted Sheet Miracle
This morning I was folding some nice clean bedding (literally one of my favorite things in existence), and a miracle occurred.
For years I've been baffled by the conundrum of the fitted sheet. I had made peace with the idea many moons ago that fitted sheets would forever just be stored as crumpled balls of linen - and I was ok with that.
Then this morning, as if by divine intervention, it just came to me as I was folding my sheet. My hands knew exactly what to do as if being guided by an angel of laundry day. Before I knew it, there it was, a perfectly rectangular folded fitted sheet. What had just happened?
This is by far one of the most exciting things that has happened to me in a very long time.
And In Other News
I've just joined an exciting new venture with Create Cheltenham. The first event with be held at Up In Arms Oxford on Saturday the 10th of August. Details to follow soon!
