Ordering a bespoke engagement ring is a deeply personal journey, marked by collaboration and creativity. It typically begins with a design consultation between head designer, Anne-Michelle and you, our cherished client. During this consultation, ideas, preferences, and inspirations are shared. From there, we translate these concepts into sketches or digital designs, incorporating specific gemstones, metals, and intricate details to reflect your unique vision and story. Once the design is finalised and a quote has been approved, our skilled craftsmen bring it to life through meticulous handiwork, transforming raw materials into a symbol of enduring love and commitment.
This journey will be an exciting and informative one. We understand that the world of gemstones, diamonds and metals can be a little unfamiliar to some. What is a gold karat? What to look for in a diamond? Which gemstone is best suited to an engagement ring? How do we know which size to go for? STEP TWO: The Consultation
The design consultation will be a short chat over the phone or in person, where we can discuss your ideas, budget and time requirements, offer advice, and answer all your questions. Once we have a better idea of what you are after in an engagement ring, we can get going with the exciting stuff.
STEP THREE: The Designs
Now it's time for us to do what we do best and design some ideas for you to consider, tailoring a unique design from all the inspiration and materials discussed in our design consultation.
STEP FOUR: The Quote
Once a design has been approved, we will offer you a quote for approval.
STEP FIVE: The Making
Now it's time to sit back and let us work our magic! Production can take between 6 to 10 weeks depending on the design and various other factors. We always try to accommodate more urgent requests where possible, so please do let us know if you are planning a proposal sooner, and we'll do our best to meet your deadline.
The manufacturing process consists of various stages, from the sourcing and ordering of your materials, gemstones, and diamonds, to wax modelling, casting, handcrafting, stone setting, finishing, engraving and finally hallmarking. Some of these processes, like casting and hallmarking, are performed outside of our studio and require additional time for shipping etc. The perfect ring takes time and great attention to detail at every step of the process.
