Herkimer Dimaond Ring - tiny double terminated quartz crystals claw-set in sterling silver.

These little crystals are not real diamonds, but their name is given becuase of their fantastic clarity and natural faceting. They have 18 facets in total. Six on each point and six around the centre. They were discovered in exposed dolomite outcrops  around Herkimer County, New York, and as so called Herkimer Diamonds
